While it started as a military idea, her invention later became a key part of modern wireless communication like WI-FI, Bluetooth, and cell phones. Even though she is better known for her acting, her work has had a lasting effect on the technology we use every day. Lamarr's ideas show that anyone even someone outside traditional science or someone outside traditional science or engineering, can make a big impact on the world. today her contributions continue to influence how devices communicate and stay connected safely and reliably.
